House music - Sunday 7th September

Sunday saw the annual House Music competition.  The girls worked with Middle House to create two pieces.  An 'ensemble' and a house 'song and dance'.  Rehearsals started at 9:45am with sessions running in the Theatre, the Chapel and the Creed Room.  The competition started at 6:30pm the same day.

The Summerhill and Middle ensemble was genius. The boys backing vocals and routine was brilliant.  I suspect we did not win as it was too advanced for the judge to handle.  Basically, blew his mind!

The dance and song routine was well executed - although the song choice was difficult to learn.  This meant that although the dance routine was tight, there were periods during the song where few people knew the lyrics.

Hall and School won both sessions.  Very well done to them.

Overall, an excellent time was had by all.  I really enjoyed watching all the performances.  Some of the ideas were very funny and made it very entertaining to watch.  A big thank you must go to all the new PR and year 13s who helped to organise the day and make it such a success.
