Muck up day begins

Today was the final school day for our Year 13s.  They chose the theme of 'Zombies' so were walking around with excellent make up.

The girls were soaked by water pistols on their way to registration - as the zombies were cleared from the 'un-infected'.

I provided crossants and hot chocolate for everyone as a booster to the imune system to try and ensure they got through the day.

The final school assembly was an excellent occasion as we sang Jubilate, Lord of the Dance and Jerusalem.  There was a clip from Phineas and Ferb with the message 'carpe diem'.  The chaplain set up a voting quiz from a Year 6 leavers book where the students had to guess who had said what.

The day will continue with a BBQ, ice cream van and much merriment.

Selene's 18th Birthday

Selene was 18 yesterday.

After a 'normal' school day - we celebrated in Summerhill with cake made for us by the lovely Daisie who works in the catering department.

Frizzle chickens hatch

3 weeks ago I took delivery of 12 Frizzle Chicken eggs.  Since then they have been in an incubator being automatically, gently rocked back and forth.  On Thursday morning they started hatching.  By Friday morning 11 or the 12 had hatched.

The girls have been very excited to see them and have been back and forth to see their progress and give the chicks a cuddle.
