Summerhill go Carol Singing

It was suggested by Edith that we go carol singing after our Christmas meal.  We were bit worried that it might be a bit of a flop after the food as we normally finish with Secret Santa which we haven't done this year.  So, we all thought Carol Singing was a good idea.  We did a quick practice of each song before we left.  First we went to Westwood where the juniors seemed genuinely pleased to see us!  We then went on to Fonthill and sang to them.  We finished at Hall house where several of the boys came down to listen especially.  Unfortunately it then started to pour down.  We decided you could have too much of a good thing so we packed it in and went home.

Summerhill Christmas Dinner

Last night we had the annual Christmas Dinner in house.  The lounge was cleared of the sofa's and replaced with tables and chairs.  The girls helped lay and decorate the tables.

We were treated to full Christmas dinner from our amazing catering department.  We had turkey, stuffing, sausage with bacon, potatoes, sprouts, carrots and parsnips.  All topped off with gravy.  As last year, the meal coincided with Rigam's birthday so we sang to her to finish the meal off with cake and mince pies.

It was really nice as all the staff who help with duties: Miss Elliott, Miss Nicholson, Miss Wormald and Dave were all there to help celebrate.
