End of Term House Tutorial Time - 15th Dec 2017

On the last day of term we spent our tutorial time together as a whole House. In vertical year group teams, they had Christmas quizzes to complete and little festive games, that included humming Christmas tunes! This started the day off really well and the day then ended with us going to the Abbey for our School Carol Service.

Summerhill Christmas Day! Dec 2017

On our snowy Christmas Day in the House, the girls decorated and laid the tables and spent the morning preparing the Christmas dinner. The girls invited the matrons and the duty staff to the meal too. We sat down in the evening and after we had finished the meal, we played games. These included balloon relay races, chocolate games and a mystery game! Father Christmas even made an appearance!

Summerhill Christmas Day - it was snowing! Dec 2017

It actually snowed on our 'Summerhill Christmas Day!' The girls built a small snowman out side the front door and then spent some of the day playing in the snow on the school grounds and throwing snowballs in the Summerhill garden!

The Year 10 / 11 Christmas Ball - Dec 2017

The girls spent the day getting ready for the Ball, which is in aid of Malawi. They had a reception in the foyer of the theatre, followed by a three course meal in the dining hall and then the evening ended with a disco. During the meal there were sixth formers playing music and singing Christmas tunes and there was also a raffle with some teacher led entertainment.
