Not really a Summerhill post, this one. I was up watching the U15 As play their last match together. Next year they will have to try out to be a part of the Senior team. Dave was asked to take some photo's of their last game.

Christmas Baking
At a loose end as most people had gone
into town, Lara and Emily decided to do some baking. After a look
through a cookery book the decision was made to make biscuits. The
results are pretty special .....

Year 9 sleepover
Tonight was the annual Year 9 sleepover. My aim is to let the boarders have a 'home' experience by having their friends to stay overnight with them. The day girls are always intrigued as to what its like in the boarding house as well.
Tonight, after supper, the whole house went to watch the drama performance 'Kingswood @ 20' in the theatre. It was a culmination of the 20 years of shows put on in the theatre. A celebration of everything we have achieved in this time on the stage. It was a good way to start the night.
After this, we all skipped (literally) back to the House. There the Year 9s set into two tubs of ice cream with chocolate button, chocolate sprinkles and jelly babies. They then made themselves comfortable in the lounge on all the spare duvets the house owns and the ones they brought from home. Between them they decided to watch '17 again'. Somehow there was still room for chocolates!
Apologies for the poor quality of the pictures - I think I need to ask Santa for a new phone :)

Senior House Hockey matches
Wednesday activities session saw the first rounds of Senior House matches. The first round was Summerhill v Fonthill. We played 25 minutes one way. Summerhill went ahead for the majority of the game with Fonthill drawing level in the last 30 seconds of the game. Fonthill then played School. Fonthill won 2-0. Summerhill have to win the final round against School to stand a chance of winning overall (playing on Thursday afternoon).

Sunday 30th November - Advent dinner
Sunday evening was our annual Advent dinner. We started in the Chapel with a service. We then moved through to the main school to have a meal together. It's always a really lovely event and makes it feel like Christmas has really started.
