Tonight was the last Saturday supper in House this year. We had an excellent meal - BBQ in our garden.
The weather was good and the company was excellent. We invited anyone who wanted to join us to come down and eat.
Dave made garlic chicken, Cajun chicken, sausages and peppered burgers. Mr and Mrs Knights joined us, but Sophie had gone to bed as she had been playing in the park all day and was tired.
Girls, it's nearly the end of the year. Thank you for making this one so special. I've had some excellent times - they are apprecaited.

Our new girls from Year 8 visit
Today was really good! The girls from Year 8 who will join us in September came down for a visit.
We made them feel welcome with ice cream and chocolate sprinkles. We then made shrinky dinks, which are always good fun.
Because there was free ice cream, no - sorry, because the new girls were visiting the Year 9s and 10s showed their support.
We're welcoming Anna, Georgia, Niamh, Rhiannon, Natasha, Cherry, Chloe, Davida, Anastasia, Libby, Numa and Sophie. We also have a girls, new to the school joining us - Victoria.

Summerhill complete the 5k Race for Life
Today, Summerhill supported School House by running in the 5k Race for Life. 14 boarders - everyone who was in this weekend - went down the the Royal Victoria Park in the center of Bath.
We met up with the School House runners. At 10:45am we warmed up with a dance routine. We then selected if we wanted to run, jog or walk. Mrs Morris, Lottie, Lara and I chose to have a quick-ish walk around. The whole route was based around the park. It was excellent to see the rivers of pink, flowing their way past the Crescent and through the park.
Some of the girls chose to run with the names of the people who had been affected by cancer in their backs. Lots of us were thinking of Mrs Clarke, and it was really amazing to see her with Mr Clarke near the start line. She then moved to see us near the end as well. It was lovely to see her. She was really touched that we were running with her in mind.
Lizzie won the whole event!! She passed us as we were at the 1.5k point and she was at about the 4k point. Charlotte and Miss Wilson also did very well coming in the top 10 competitors.
I will add the photo's I have at the moment, and as I get sent more, I'll add them to the Blog.
A heartfelt 'thank you' to those parents and friends who have donated money to our Just Giving page. Our total currently stand at £150, including Tax-Back. I think Kingswood as a whole have raised over £600.

Saturday Pizza Night in House
Lottie and India chose "home-made pizza night" for supper tonight. As far as preparation goes, this is as easy as it gets. I did 4 double loads of pizza bases in my bread machine and Dave went shopping for toppings. There are not many girls in the House at this time of year. The Year 11s have all but finished their exams and the Year 10s were off doing D of E.
We had a quality few left ....
The girls came through in groups of four. Rolled their dough to shape. Added toppings. Then passed it to Dave who slid it into the oven.
Group 1 : Edith, India, Lottie and Lara
Group 2 - Selene, Rigam, Bella and Manaho
Group 3 - Rachana, Bipina, (Patricija - hiding behind Bipina, visiting from Fonthill), Lizzie and Emily.
Group 4 - Kristy and Angela
