Whole Boarding comunity BBQ

Tonight was the annual boarders BBQ.  All of the houses get together and have a BBQ with each other.  We were lucky tonight because it was not raining even though it was not very warm.

We then went inside to discuss boarder 'issues'.  The Summerhill girls wanted more trips to Thorpe Park and fewer roast dinners!

 

Bipina's birthday

Tuesday was Bipina's 16th birthday.  To celebrate, she sat GCSE exams - all day.  To break up all the excitement, I baked a cake and defrosted one.  We all got together in the kitchen and sang (and ate cake).

Getting ready for the sweet sale

My Year 9 boarders and Ellie helped me packed 1p sweets into bags ready for the sweet sale this Thursday and Friday.  We are raising money for Papyrus, a charity which tried to prevent young suicide.

Ellie will be attempting an all day sponsored silence on Friday - which we all know she will find incredibly difficult! :)

At a rough guess, we filled 500 bags with sweets.

Saturday supper in House

Dave cooked again tonight.  We had a gammon, chips and egg followed by ice cream with sauce, clotted cream and chocolate sprinkles.  We all eat healthily as it was so good.

It was busy in house tonight as 19 girls from Summerhill were here and we had two guests, Numa from Westwood who is having a sleepover with the Year 9 girls, and Anna from School house who wanted to eat with her friends down here for a change.
